Are tickets still available for the commissioning on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2023?
No. Unfortunately, due to overwhelming demand, tickets to the Commissioning Ceremony are now SOLD OUT. We are unable to accommodate walk-ups to the event. If you do not have a ticket, you will be turned away.

Are tours of the ship available before/after the commissioning?
Tours are available to the public on a first-come, first-serve basis Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2023 through Friday, Oct. 6, 2023 from 12:30 to 4 p.m. Parking for the tours is available directly at the pier, located at Berth 150 3409 Causeway Blvd, Tampa, FL 33619.
Additionally, for ticketed guests only, tours of the ship will be provided immediately following the commissioning ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2023
Where can I park for the event?
General Admission parking is available at the Carpark Parking Garage, located at 810 Channelside Drive, Tampa, FL 33602. Parking is available free-of-cost beginning at 6:30 a.m. Once you’ve parked, a U.S. Navy Shuttle Service will take guests to the event. The shuttle bus will run every fifteen minutes from 7 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. prior to the event on Saturday, Oct. 7,2023. Following the event, return shuttles will run immediately following the conclusion of the ceremony until 3:30 p.m. You will need to take the shuttle to/from the event to participate in the commissioning.
Disabled parking is also available in the parking garage. Golf cart transportation will be available at the drop off location on the pier for guests requiring mobility assistance.
VIP parking information will be communicated directly to guests who qualify.
Will there be restrooms on site?
Yes, there will be portable toilets and handwashing stations at the pier.
Is food/drink available?
Bottled water will be provided free-of-charge. Additionally, following the commissioning there will a free-of-charge lunch available via Mission BBQ. Outside drinks or liquids are not permitted.
What are the security requirements of the event? Are bags, weapons, or purses allowed?
To gain pier access, all guests will pass through as security checkpoint. All guests must bring a federal or state issued ID. Children under 16 are exempt, with an adult escort. The security checkpoint will include metal detectors, bag inspections and military working dogs. Guests are asked not to bring large bags, backpacks and coolers. Small diaper bags and pursues will be allowed. No weapons, including pocket knives, will be permitted. See additional requirements here.
